Executive Synopsis: Yukito Urabe, the son of a cult leader, dies during a ritual and is reincarnated into a world where the concept of gods and religion does not exist. With the help of the self-proclaimed omnipotent goddess Mitama, he decides to create a religion from scratch in this godless world. What follows is a wild, satirical isekai adventure full of comedy, action, and unexpected twists as Yukito builds followers, faces the Empire, and discovers the true nature of this strange new world.
Adapted from the manga by Aoi Akashiro and Hangetsuban Sonshō, KamiKatsu takes the classic isekai formula and flips it on its head. Instead of becoming a hero or overpowered adventurer, the protagonist is tasked with inventing religion itself in a world that has never heard of gods. Produced by Studio Palette, the series mixes sharp satire, over-the-top comedy, and surprisingly emotional moments while exploring faith, power, and human nature through a wildly unconventional lens.
- •Religion from Scratch: Watch Yukito build a faith system, attract followers, and deal with the chaos that comes with it.
- •Mitama’s Chaos: The goddess Mitama brings both divine power and constant unpredictable trouble.
- •Satirical Comedy: Sharp humor that pokes fun at religion, cults, and isekai tropes.
- •Action & Empire Conflict: Battles against the Empire and other forces that threaten the new religion.
